Beneath The Dystopian Nightmare

There are often times in which I used to sit back and let the memories flood in, like a giant tidal wave. I let them sweep across every last inch and acre of my mind, penetrating every last beat of my heart, whilst dimming every last and remaining glow of my soul. These memories are like a drug, for their high brings me back to a time when things were right, when things were pure, when things were all but a dream come true. While treading through these vast scapes, I oftentimes recall the very rest which brought about my residing here, the very rest which caused lines to break, and promises to fade, the very rest which saw all I once used to know slip away, in like a tenth of a second – and alas here I am.

For some time now, I have sensed the coming of something bitter, the marking of what I know will be the end yet at the same time, many of the answers I have been seeking all along. This feeling in essence is unsettling, for it speaks words of unspeakable change and shakings that will forever alter my entire being. It speaks of bursts of fire that will seek to at long last, devour all that I am. It speaks of shadows, the darkest there are to reside, that long to bring about the reaching out of the Lords, while these scapes are bathed in new light – erasing all that stands. It speaks of you, and the promises you once made, breaking ties and bringing about the Final Fates that remain.

With the last mornings that await me now, I know that I cannot run for this – but at the same time I know, deep down, that none of this is right, but so it does exist. For what I have once fought for will soon be for neigh, and what I once long for will no longer be no more, and for what I must now yearn for does not exist within this nightmare. This nightmare that will soon be known as reality.
